Madam Alberta Mensah, the mother of Lynx Entertainment boss, Richie Mensah, says managing Irene Logan and Eazzy under her son’s record label was difficult.
After winning ‘Stars of the Future’ season one; a singing reality show, Irene Logan was signed on to Lynx Entertainment in 2008. A year after, her then label mate Eazzy, was also signed on.
They both churned out hit songs until they parted ways with the record label.
But in an interview with JoyNews’ MzGee together with her son, Madam Alberta revealed that it was almost impossible for the two to be in the same room.
“The one who comes early will be in the studio, and the one who comes later will be in the bedroom. We were all living in the same house and because one is in the studio, the other wouldn’t want to go there but he (Richie) managed.”
She also disclosed that they faced similar challenges with their current label signees; Kidi and Kuami Eugene.
“It wasn’t getting Kidi and Kuami Eugene close. We had to let them understand that we love both of them and give them attention.”
Richie also added that; “The thing about Lynx is, if you’re an artiste and this week we are shooting your video, all attention will be on you. So for the other artiste sitting there and waiting for their video to be shot, we remind them that theirs will also be shot.”
He also refuted claims that his label gives Kuami Eugene more attention than the others; “Not at all, the attention is the same at Lynx.”
