The third edition of the Annual Ghana Music Awards UK has been slated on October 6, 2018 at the Gaumont Palace, London.
The awards scheme which is aimed at marketing Ghanaian music on the World music market will recognize the achievements of Ghanaian musicians both in the country and the Diaspora.
This years’ nomination list is greatly dominated by the late Dancehall diva Ebony Reigns and artistes of the Zylofon Music label. Zylofon Music artistes were nominated in very category in the nominations list.
StoneBowy was nominated for the Dancehall Artiste of the year category, Dancehall Song of the year for Bawasaba, Artiste of the year and Best Ghanaian International Touring Act.
Joyce Blessing earned nominations for the Gospel Artiste of the year category and Gospel Song of the year for Boot 4 Boot.
Shattawale was selected for the Artiste of the year, Dancehall Artiste of the year, Dancehall Song of the year, and Best Music Video of the year for Gringo.
Kumi Guitar was nominated for the Best Male Vocalist of the year and Best Music Video of the year for Betweener.
Rapper Obibini also grabbed nomination for Best Rapper of the year category and Becca had nomination for Female Vocalist of the year award.
The late Ebony Reigns however garnered the most nominations in this years awards scheme.
