Okyeame Kwame was chosen as a result of his outstanding service to helping keep a better environment and society devoid of diseases.
He was represented with an appreciation plaque with the inscription, “Outstanding Humanitarian Service in Ghana” by Dr. Pauline Key on behalf of the former president.
The rapper’s Hepatitis B campaign seeks to help eradicate the disease from Ghana and has laid down plans to extend it to other African countries this year and beyond.
He broke the news in a text on his Instagram page, He wrote:
“Good news, Ghana! I received a Presidential Award yesterday from H.E Barack Obama in the USA.
We made it again!”
