Kwesi Arthur and Medikal will finally end their battle for the ‘King of the New School Rap culture’ at this year’s edition of the Ghana Rocks Concert scheduled for the 29th of December at the Fantasy Dome in Accra. Both rappers have had a fast growing career with chart topping hits and electrifying concerts around the country. The two artistes will have adequate time to go ‘head – to – head’ at each other for the loudest cheers from the audience at the Ghana Rocks Concert.

Ghana Rocks Concert is the perfect platform because this is the first time this year that these two acts are stepping out of their traditional territories and onto a major platform with a mixed audience comprising citizens and foreigners making this a levelled playing field.

Earlier this year, Kwesi Arthur nearly wrecked the stage at the ‘Vac with DJ Vyrusky’ concert at St Thomas Aquinas. Fans pushed so hard that the sound system nearly went off and belts had to be used to whip some over excited fans back into line! Medikal, known for his creative punchlines, also got called back to continue a performance nearly cut short by the organizers at this year’s S Concert in Accra as a result loud cries in disagreement of the initial decision.

These two rap icons have both recorded tracks with heavy weights like Sarkodie and survived the lethal lines from the most revered rapper in Ghana currently. But the question on everybody’s mind as to who is better on the mic and who has the most fans will be finally answered at this year’s edition of ‘GHANA ROCKS’ concert. With the addition of international musician, ‘Jidenna’ from the United States of America, one should know that our local acts are definitely bringing something new and different to the stage this time around and at the end of the day we will know the real ‘King of the New School Rap’ in Ghana.
