After rumors circulated that celebrated highlife musician, Okomfuo Kwadee has been abandoned by his family, management and the entire music industry at a mental facility, his team has finally addressed the public.
Kwame Frimpong, Kwadee’s publicist says the musician is fine. According to him Kwadee, real name, Jerry Anaba is mentally sound.
He announced on Showbiz Agenda that all rumors are false and should be treated with the least seriousness.
“Jerry is fine, he is not mad. In fact, he safely drives to and from Accra frequently. Now, can a mentally unstable person do that?”, he averred.
Kwame told Sammy Flex, host of the show that the stories have been over-exaggerated by the media.
The speculations started when the founder of Willing Ways Rehab center, Maama Abena Manu, granted an interview on Taabeah TV, where she announced that, Kwadee has been her patient since July 2013 and since his admission, no family or friend have visited him.
Kwame disclosed that, their artiste is not a patient of a rehab center. He claims Kwadee lives with Maame Abena as brother and sister.
“He lives in the lady’s house as brother and sister. There is nothing like a mental facility, it’s cohabitation”, he declared.
Although he has been missing in action for a while, Kwame announced that the “Kwadee” hitmaker has several songs, which are to be released soon.
