Shatta Wale won the topmost award at the maiden edition of the 3 Music Awards. He scooped four awards; Fan Army of the Year, Male Act of the Year, Facebook Star of the Year and Song of the Year.
However, although he was billed to perform on the night, he failed to do so. His arch-rival Stonebwoy, together with several other Ghanaian musicians, thrilled the audience.
Explaining why he couldn’t make it on stage that evening, the Dem Confuse hit maker revealed on Facebook that the organizers sort of disrespected him by asking him to perform last which he vehemently opposed.
That notwithstanding, he still went ahead to revel in his achievement and dedicated the award to his numerous fans.
know some of my fans traveled a long distance , wasted their time and money just to watch me perform, but unfortunately I didn’t get on the stage because those people were asking me to drop the mic down for other artists to perform.
They wanted me to perform Last and why should it always be like that?
I just came down from a long journey, I need to perform for my fans and catch some rest. Sorry to all my beloved Fans who’re disappointed,
Sometimes things like this for happen for the Right thing to be done next time.
