The multi-media Central Broadcasting Studios when fully operational will comprise of an online radio station, a television station and a recording studio. The studio is expected to train students of the Department of Communication Studies with hands on practical experience to complement their theoretical studies.
Dr. Mensa Otabil admonished the students to take advantage of the facility to widen their scope of studies. He also advised the department to have a defined audience, create the relevant content and should be able to monitor the impact of the broadcast.
Prof. Yankah on his part was grateful for the realisation of the dream to have the studio and was hopeful that the outcome of opinion polls from the studios would be credible for transformation of lives and societal agenda.
Present at the ceremony were the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Clara Fayorsey, Deans, Heads of Departments and Lecturers. Others were the University Registrar, Mr. Emil Afenyo, Dr. Ransford Antwi, HOD, Dept of Communication Studies, some staff and students.
